Whipped Feta Dip

If you’re looking for an appetizer that’s ridiculously easy to make but tastes like something you’d order at your favorite Mediterranean restaurant, this whipped feta dip is it. It’s creamy, tangy, garlicky, and perfect with warm pita, crackers, fresh vegetables, or even spread on sandwiches.

The first time I made this recipe, I got a little carried away with the garlic and used 6 cloves. While I absolutely loved the bold flavor, I know that’s not everyone’s preference! After making it again, I’d recommend using 3–6 cloves of garlic, depending on how much you love garlic. Three cloves give you a balanced, mellow flavor, while six cloves create a rich, robust dip that’s definitely for garlic lovers.

Why You’ll Love This Recipe

  • Easy to customize with your favorite herbs and toppings.

Ingredients

  • 8 ounces block feta cheese
  • ½ cup plain Greek yogurt or Sour-cream
  • 3–6 cloves garlic, peeled (adjust to your taste)

  • 2 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil, plus more for serving
  • 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
  • Freshly ground black pepper
  • Optional toppings: chopped parsley, dill, oregano, red pepper flakes, or a drizzle of honey

Instructions

Add the feta, Greek yogurt/sourcream, garlic, olive oil, and lemon juice to a food processor.

Blend until smooth and creamy, stopping to scrape down the sides as needed.
